NEW international Master Program
Space Sciences and Technology - Sensing, Processing, Communication
starts October 2017 // application online
Science and technology for space applications have made significant progress in recent years and many new challenges are ahead of us. At the University of Bremen you can study to be part of this development. The program Space-ST is application-oriented and provides knowledge in the fields of remote sensing, earth observation, retrieval theory, space electronics and communications. Lectures cover digital image processing, architecture and design of integrated digital systems, methods of data transmission in communication networks. Students choose one out of two subject-specific areas: Physics for Space Observation or Information Technologies for Space. In these areas students deepen their knowledge to have a clear professional focus. Graduates have excellent job opportunities in Space Agencies, Space Industry and Research Institutes.
At the Department 1 of Physics and Electrical Engineering you can find modern Bachelor and Master study programs which offer you a solid scientific education, wide knowledge for practical application and excellent chances for your future career. During the study of Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with Management the staff-student ratio is excellent. You train in groups of ten to 20 students with direct contact to the scientists.
Providing the first higher education degree, your scientific career starts with a six-semester Bachelor program. Contents of the three academic years are the basics of the subject and first practical applications. Graduatees can start working in a job or continue their studies with a Master program. This can be chosen in the same subject or interdisciplinary with parts of different subjects.
The general study area of the Bachelor program gives a great freedom of choice. There are many ways to deepen your own interests or to expand key competence for studies and profession.
